Cleaning Tips and Tricks

Points To Remember

  • Always test a swatch first
  • Rub stain remover on a hidden piece of fabric
  • Try least harmful method first

React Quickly

  • Apply stain remover as soon as possible
WARNING!

Heat, hot water and detergent may permanently set stains. Launder immediately after treatment

Work Inside Out

  • Apply stain remover on underside of spot to prevent stain from being forced down through the fabric

Sponge Technique

  • Place reverse side of stain on a clean folded cloth
  • Using solvent sparingly, gently dab into stain using moistened cloth or cotton
  • Work from centre to edge, moving pad underneath as stain is absorbed

Absorbent Application

  • Lay stain on clean cloth
  • Spread layer of absorbent (eg: cornstarch) on stain and work in gently
  • When absorbent cakes, shake or brush off
  • Repeat until most of the stain is gone
  • Apply final layer, allow to remain overnight
  • Do not use on dark or unwashable fabrics!
