Greasy
- Washable – Rub with detergent, rinse with hot water or apply grease solvent/cleaning fluid such as carbon tetrachloride, allow to dry, repeat as necessary. Never use cleaning fluid in washer or dryer!
- Non-washables – Sponge with cleaning fluid, allow to dry, repeat as necessary
Non-greasy
- Washables – Sponge with cold water immediately or soak in cold water for 30 minutes or more. Next, rub undiluted liquid detergent into stain and rinse. Use bleach if stain remains
Combo – Greasy and Non-greasy
- Treat non-greasy portion with cold water and detergent, rinse and allow to dry.
- Next, sponge grease stain with cleaning fluid allow to dry, repeat as necessary.
