Wallpaper
Washable
- Wipe with sponge dipped in solution of a little bleach to water
- Crayon marks – set hair dryer on hot, blow stain until wax heats up, wipe with oil soap cleanser on a damp cloth. Alternative – rub gently with baking soda sprinkled on a damp cloth. Alternative – rub gently with a dry SOS pad
- Grease – apply paste of cornstarch and water, allow time to dry then brush off
Non-washable
- 1. Rub gently with art gum
Removal
- Fill spray bottle with 1/3 cup liquid fabric softener to 2/3 cup hot water, spray wallpaper, wait 20 minutes, peel paper off wall
- or mix equal part vinegar and hot water, dip paint roller into solution, wet paper thoroughly
Painted Walls
General Cleaning
- Wash with soap and water or mild commercial cleaner
- or wash with 1/2 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup washing soda and 4 litres warm water
Stains
- Scrub crayon marks with toothpaste, rinse and wipe
- or spray crayon marks with WD-40 and wipe
Nail Holes
- Run toothpaste into hole, smooth with a damp sponge
